**************** I PROMISE YOU NO PLANTS WERE HARMED IN THE NEXT STAGE.*************** It’s just a necessary step. This took me a long time to get used to doing this to my sweethearts. They bounce back like it never even happened….

Why I do this, is because I want all the plant power to go to the top main cola’s. If I have any little branches, or larff buds’, the plant uses nutrients and actual grow power to encourage even growth through the whole plant. By removing everything underneath and continually keeping it trimmed, this will encourage wonderful growth right where you need it. Up at the top of those beautiful cola’s.
******This is where I switched my timing from 16 hr on- 8 hr off, to 12-12.
We are now in FLOWER folks…….

Another slight trim to re-encourage more growth and hormones to flow upwards.

I let these ladies go one more week on full nutrients, then only watered with Royal Gold and CalMag.
I decided to see what would happen if I didn’t “Flush” with just plain ph balanced water for the last week. Not much difference, if at all to be honest. It’s smokes clean, no harsh cough, ash is mostly white.
Up Close and personal with Mars Hydro:

Up Close and personal with QGLed:

Proof is in the pudding folks….
Here was the total, end all be all.
QGLed Tent: 710 grams dried and trimmed/ 672 Watts
Mars Hydro Tent: 690 grams dried and trimmed/ 1520 Watts
This was a straight side by side comparison, minimal effort needed (meaning no bending, no breaking, no screwing round with the plants) I wanted to see what would happen for the average grower.
I am thrilled with the results and will be starting another project ASAP…
Stay tuned folks and Happy Gardening.
